Disclaimers

1- Unless I explicitly state that I am an expert in a subject, I want to clarify in advance that I am not. Therefore, please take everything I say with a pinch of salt.

2- When inspired by others, I will, to the best of my ability, share information about the inspiration source. This is online etiquette and basic courtesy.

3- I’m a huge fan of technology, in all its forms. It’s an integral part of human society’s progress. I value things that make our lives easier and better. However, I firmly believe that it’s crucial to ensure responsible use of technology and its implications, rather than simply following it blindly. In this matter, although AI is very helpful for checking my grammar, providing alternative word usage, and other tech support, I am not fond of its use—and abuse—for creative purposes. Therefore, if I ever use AI to produce images, audio, and/or videos, I will clearly state it.

4- The anecdotes I share here are from my personal experience, unless I mention otherwise.

5- Regarding my neurodiversity and mental health journey, I love learning more about myself to help me improve as a person. While I’ve actively participated in therapy sessions, it doesn’t equate to me being a psychologist or therapist. If you are in need, please don’t hesitate to reach for professional help and support.

The “No Comments” Rule

After much deliberation, I’ve made the decision to disable comments on all my social media platforms. While social media is meant for sharing, connecting, and being “sociable,” I’ve come to realise that there are numerous instances where a person’s right to express their opinion can turn conversations destructive instead of constructive, and I don’t want that kind of conflict in the space I’m creating.

It’s natural for humans to seek acceptance and belonging, but placing our creative and thought processes at the mercy of a vast social media audience, for them to judge and decide whether our actions are right or wrong based on their diverse tastes, can be overwhelming. When opinions vary rapidly and are influenced by algorithms, we can feel like small leaves caught in a storm, aimlessly drifting.

I really want to share my creations and experiences. Maybe they can brighten someone’s day or make them feel they are not alone because someone else went through something similar. Who knows?! So, because I know my neurodiverse self, and I don’t want the ever-changing social media landscape to sway me like crazy, the comments section will be deactivated.

Thereby, this is the drill:

If what I shared resonates with you, GOOD! You can give it a like, share it, recommend it, tell your friends to check me out if they want, discuss it, and praise it in your own feed.

If what I shared doesn’t resonate with you, ALSO GOOD! You can share it, trash it, and warn your friends to never get near me in your own feed.

Worry not, I’m certain all the constructive feedback I need will find its way to me.

I believe it’s the most democratic way to deal with this, and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Big love!
